Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

I moved out 20 days ago and the new tenant has been living there for 20 days. At the time of my

move out the landlord never came to do a final walk through with me. Seeing as how the new tenants

were moving in while I moved out basically I assumed everything was ok. I was wrong. Eleven days later he sent me a list of repairs sent by the new tenants saying I was responsible. I felt at the time I was responsible for a few items but not all. We could never agree. In fact he has yet to go to the property and inspect it himself. It is almost 21 days and he has yet to return my security deposit. I am thinking of going to small claims court do I have a case? Also everytime he sends me a list the previous items of seem to get worse.

You need to wait the one more day and then re-post with up dated information as to what amount was refunded to you. If the landlord does not give a proper 21 day notice, then he waives any claim to any of the money and the nature of your case has dramatically changed.
