Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California
I moved out of a house and my 2 roommate stayed. They sidned a new lease with the landlord. My roommates are now claiming that I damaged the property and want me to pay for the repairs. The landlord never inspected the property before I left. Can my previouse roommates charge me for damages?

Your former roommates may make a claim against you but the issue is whether there is proof. This may be an issue that could be best resolved using a community mediation process. You did not mention whether your issue of your share of the security deposit had been resolved. I would get a signed agreement that they will accept your portion of the security deposit as the resolution of any damages.
