Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California
Moving Fee in case of LAHD repairs list
I am landlord of 4 units property in Los Angeles. 2 tenants are under ''rent control''.
My question is:
Does a long list of repairs & corrections from LADH constitute ''good / sufficient cause'' to termiate lease?
if so - will the tenants be nevertheless entilted to ''moving fee''?
Thank you, R.

Re: Moving Fee in case of LAHD repairs list
You need to contact (not via this board) an attorney in Los Angeles who specializes in unlawful detainers and the LA rent control ordinance. I've read that ordinance several times, and it has been modified and amended with a bunch of temporary legislative enactments - its far too complex to be answered on this board, and frankly an answer to your situation will require an attorney reviewing the specific facts of your matter, including the LADH list. I'm sorry that I can't answer your question, but its just not a situation that lends itself to resolution on this board, unless one of the other attorneys practices specifically in LA and is familiar with their rent control ordinance.
