Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

Neighbor Harrassment?

I moved into a brand new condo 5 months ago. The condo is 1 of five or six units in this building. I am hardly ever home, I live alone, I work 5 days a week and travel up to 30 weekends a year. My neighbors insist to my landlord & to our HOA assoc. that I am incredibly loud - they call, write letters & hold meetings about this on a weekly basis. I have moved out of the bathroom from which they swear I am slamming drawers & making loud noises. Any time they hear me in my apartment, they bang on the walls, turn up blaring music, etc. they've basically gone crazy. This is a brand new building - with the purchase price of $500K for one unit. this is clearly a building issue, however, the HOA is believing every complaint they are making about me. They've even started to charge my landlord $100/complaint they receive about me. They have called my landlord to let them know that I will never rest a quiet night here as long as I live here...

I don't know what to do -- I again live alone with a cat. I'm 49 years old. I don't drink. I don't have kids. All I do is wake up, get ready for work, leave for work, come up, eat dinner & go to bed. I cannot physically be any quieter. I feel trapped. Is there any type of complaint I can issue? HELP.
