My neighbor wishes to leave her apartment but still has 8 months left on her lease How should she approach her landlord about subleasing it or finding a replacement?

Your neighbor should ask the questions herself as there often is confusion when a third party is involved [also, if she is not willing to spend the time to ask the question then she is not really all that interested in the answers]. Without knowing more facts, how can any of us give a good answer to the question?
