Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California
The owner of our building asked us to send rent to her instead of the management company last month (this happened a day before rent was due). Apparently she didn't inform the management company this and we were all cited 3 day pay or quit notices. Will this affect my credit/rental history?

Probably not. To have any effect, it would have to be reported by the management company to the credit rating companies. Contact the management company, cc to the landlady, demanding to know if any report was made and paying for any current or future checks you have to make as to your credit.

If a report was made, the management company must reverse it.
