Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California
The owner of this house is telling me to move after 22 years of living here. I have two children ages 10 and 11 years old. The owner has never helped me with any repairs or fixing this place up. I can not afford to replace the roof and other things. I can't afford to move when other people of houses asking for $1700.00 - $1900.00 for first and last.

Unfortunately that is the problem with being a renter. Unless you have a lease for a longer term you can be out on the street on 30-days notice if you've been there under a year, and 60-days notice if you have been there a year or more.
