Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

parking rules

parking rules at my apartment complex. each tenant is assigned a covered parking stall which in most cases is far far away from where their apt is . the complex here is not even 80% occupied and there is never a parking issue... we are each giving a parking id tag which is displayed from our rear view mirror... we have an area which is considered guest parking and common area parking (whatever that means) besides a on big sign posted when you drive in the there are no other designated signs or markings to say you are in someone's designated space because tenants are suppose to park in their designated stall area... here's the kicker... tenant's who have multi vehicles' park one in the stall and then they can park the other one in the guest and common area parking... on wednesday night i arrived home at 7pm and parked in the guest common parking where i've parked since 2005 they towed my car i realize i broke the rules but so does everyone else

& why are multi car tenants allowed to park anywhere they don't pay more for it i feel like i'm being discriminated against my co worker who lives here was parked next to me that night and she didn't get towed when i confront mgt they tried to discuss me signing a year lease again

Re: parking rules

Sorry, but I cannot tell you what you prefer to hear.

You violated the lease which was signed, even though it was not enforced for a long time. You lose.

Your co-worker was lucky, but it doesn't change my answer.
