Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

who do i pay rent to?

I pay $2100.00 in rent. Both the owners are now deceased. There is no one else on their mortgage. They have a 2nd mortgage as well on the propperty. How long do I have to move out? If i go forward and pay the rent to her family how do I know they are actually paying the rent to the bank or keeping it.

I realize this is a complex matter but any little info you could supply would be an asset.

Re: who do i pay rent to?

Whether or not to pay rent and to whom now may not be a clear question. An attorney would have to review your lease and give you a legal opinion you could rely on. The bank or other relatives may ask you for money, but you never know whether they are correct. You may call me to discuss your options.
