schould i pay my rent after i get an unlawful detainer notice from my landlord

Yes. You owe the money. Pay it.
If you pay before the 3-day notice expires, you avoid an eviction action, preserve your credit record and can stay in your home. After the 3 days, you still should pay and try to negotiate with the landlord if you want to stay.
