Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

posting fee for 3 day notice

This month I had to make my rent in 3 payments, which the management company agreed to. My question is that they mailed a 3 day notice after each payment and charged me 45.00 each time they mailed it. It was not posted as I believe they needed to do. They agreed to the payments and I included their 10% late charge. It seems as if they are doing something that isn't right and they say the late fee and posting fees come out first and the balance applied to the rent. It is put in a separate account they told me. So every 3 day notice they mailed had an increased amount of what I figured I really owed them. is that legal?

Re: posting fee for 3 day notice

There should be only one late charge, not three!
