Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

property foreclosure

I recently discovered the property and home I reside in is in foreclosure. The property manager I send my rent to no longer works for the new landlord and this manager has no current address or phone number for the current landlord. So, I have no idea where to send my monthly rent payments. I have received no legal paperwork or anything about this matter. What should I do?

Re: property foreclosure

I would call the bank and/or the foreclosure agent and ask for instructions. If that proves futile, I would open a separate account (or segregate the funds in your existing bank account) and DO NOT TOUCH THEM. Once it becomes known to you who owns the property, then you can tender the entire amount immediately.
