Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California
If I put a deposit down prior to move in to hold the apartment; can the landlord keep my deposit if I decide not to move into the apartment? This is an apartment in the state of California. Thank you in advance.

That would depend on what the terms of the deposit were and whether or not you signed the lease.
