i rent and the owner is in foreclosure i dont know who to pay rent to. the lender has not contacted us, 4 plex. i was told the owner is months behind and more than 13000.00 dollars behind

If you wish to stay in the rental unit, you might gather a copy of your rental agreement and cancelled rent checks. Segregate your rent monies for the months you haven't paid. When you hear from the new owner, immediately tender the amount claimed to the person and address on the notice and, if requested, permit their inspection, send them a copy of the lease agreement and any addenda, all by certified return receipt mail.

If a bank owns the property, it might rather have it productive (i.e. through a rental) than sitting vacant on the market and depressing neighborhood values.
