Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California
Just received letter in mail from owners of apt. complex I live in saying that because of the drought, each apt. is getting charged $50-$75 in 30 days. Our lease states we are not charged for water so can will they legally be able to do this?

If you are on a month-to-month then they can change any of the terms on 30-days notice, unless you have been there over a year, in which case they do have to give you 60-days notice.
