Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

I recently moved in to an apartment complex about two weeks ago. The apartment was empty, but for me and another tenant. The apartment complex leases out 4 individual rooms separately in a single apartment. I was out of town for another week and came back to discover that they had moved in another tenant with a dog, knowing that I had allergies. Furthermore, they had moved this tenant from their last room because their roommate was mistreating the dog. It's seems to me that they knowingly moved her into my room after I had signed the lease to quickly satisfy her problem without regard for the problem of an allergic tenant not being compatible with a tenant with a dog. Now I'm confined to my room and cannot venture out into the common area. Is there any problem with this?

Let your landlord know you aren't ok with this change and request another apartment.
