Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California
Recently, I moved into a new apartment as a roommate. Before, moving in, I asked that I needed to live here at least the end of this year, and he said "fine". After 2 weeks later, he asked me to move out because his relative is moving into my room. I did not have any written contract, and he did not ask about any deposit, but he said "fine" to live at least the end of the year. He said that it was his house(apartment), and I had no right to refuse. I am so sick about this situation. Is he right?
