Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

rent

I just finished my 12 months term on my leaselast month. I as trying to move to other unit in the same building witch they offer for 400 less,

so i payed 1000 dolar and i owe them 675, after 10 days they did not answer to me and they sue me for not paying rent ? in the court document says that they drop the 3 days notice in my appartment witch i did not recived,when I try to talk to them they said go to the court and they do not accept the rst of the rent,

what can I do to protect my credit from possible judjment or eviction

I can't entirely understand your post, however, it sounds like you did not pay all of the rent you owe them. If that is the case, then you really don't have a defense to their lawsuit, and need to work out an arrangement to repay them over time, and move. If you can repost this with a clearer description of what happened, someone might be able to answer you. Based solely on what I can gather from your post, I can't give you much of an answer because I'm unclear on the issue of the other apartment and why you paid less rent that you should have.
