I need to know the reauirements to give rent increase notices according to the law

Typically you can raise the rent only once per year for each tenant without special approval. In rent stabalized districts, you are limited in the amount of increase (i.e. 3% to 10%) In areas not controlled by ordinance, there are other limitations. If you are in a rent stabilization area, such as LA County, you can check their website or contact the Rent Stabilization Board directly. It might be a wise idea to check the address to make sure that you're within the rent guidelines, anyway. Also, landlord organizations have websites which can be very helpful.
