Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California
I rent a few rooms on my property where my family also resides. The tenant in question is occupying a detached rooms in the back. I understand the tenant cannot be considered a lodger. We have an oral month-to-month agreement. Under the LA County Renter Prorection Resolution (formerly COVID LA County Eviction Moratorium) can I serve the Eviction Notice before the resolution expire in this case? If not can I serve the Notice to Vacate before then? How many day notice do I need for the Notice to Vacate and how many days do I need for the Eviction Notice (when I can file it) since the renter had stay for over a year?
