Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

We just gave our 30-day notice to our leasing office that we're moving out of our apartment. We submitted a signed letter and signed an Intent to Vacate form they gave us.
Later that day, we received a move-out checklist under our door that stipulated that they don't allow tenants to move in or out on weekends and that all moves must be scheduled during the week.
This rule was not included in our lease (we moved in on a Saturday, in fact) and we never received notice that it had changed. It wasn't on the form we signed after giving notice either.
Does our leasing office even have the right to force us to take time off work to move on a weekday? I've never heard of such a thing, and it doesn't even seem legal.

I have never heard of this, either.
Read your lease carefully. Unless such a rule is in one of the provisions, ignore the leasing office, move out on the weekend.
