Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California
Some rented me a house and it was in forclosure and I want my deposit back does she have the right to keep my deposit

You have not included enough ilnformation. In general, whether the house is in foreclosure or not does not matter. You are entitled to receive your cleaning/security deposit back, minus any reasonable deductions for anything beyond normal wear and tear damages. You are entitled to get it back from the original owner you gave the money to or to the new owner of the property even if they did not get the money from the prior owner [they probably did not]. The new owner wil argue that you have to get it from the old owner, but in getting the property they also assume the debts on the property so they are obligated to refund the money to you.
