Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California
I have rented this house for 4 years. I was given a 60 day notice from the agency I rented the home from. Now a different company (that I do not have a lease with or ever heard of until now) gave me a 3 day notice to move. I call my Realtor and she told me that my lease was with her not this other agency. Can the other company file a eviction even though I do not have a lease with them?

A three-day notice is usually served for failure to pay rent or breach of the rental agreement in some other way. I agree that it doesn't make sense. Feel free to e-mail me directly with a copy of the 3-day notice to try to figure out what's going on.
