Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

I am a renter and have been at my current place of residence 3 years. I am up to date with every month's rent. At the beginning of this month, a notice was left for me that my residence is to be terminated within 90 days. If the form is otherwise legal, as there was no reason given for the eviction of which I was notified, do they still have a legal basis, or are any renters' rights being violated?

I'm assuming you don't have a lease that ends more than 90-days out, or you wouldn't be asking the question you are. Being on a month-to-month tenancy for over a year, they are giving you more notice than the 60-days they are required to give by law.
