Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

We have been renting our current house for 3 months. Today we received a foreclosure notice on the door. So, we were wondering if we are still obligated to pay rent.

Yes. The fact that the owner is in foreclosure does not affect your obligations to the owner.

Yes. The landlord could still evict you if you don't pay. As soon as the property is foreclosed and the new owner becomes known, make contact with the new owner to try to work out a new rental agreement, AND keep up with the rent. If the new owner wants you to vacate, try to negotiate an exit that would be to your benefit.
