Renting a home that is being forclosed on

We know that as the home goes into trustee sale and forclosure we can, with legal assistance stay in the home for a number of months. How much is involved in this process for the attorney and how much should it cost?

You have been misinformed.

You can only stay as long as the new owner permits, and no legal assistance can change that. The law requires 30 day notice to you from the new owner.

Your best answer is to retain an attorney for letter writing, and negotiating with the new owner, and it shouldn't take longer than a few hours work (at most) and my estimate would be $200 to $400.
