Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

I am renting a home and the landlord wants access to the garage at all times.

I am using the garage as a second office and I will have computers, files, etc. that I dont want anybody to have access to but me. What are my wrights when it comes to the landlords ability to get in the house or garage?

If the garage were part of the rental agreement, then you are entitled to its exclusive use. Some residential leases, though, have clauses about running businesses in a home, so you should review your lease.
