I am renting from a homeowner who sold the house while I was out of town. My belongings were put in storage. What can I do?

You don't provide enough information. Were you renting the whole house? A room? How could you not know this was coming? Were you on a lease or month to month? Those are just a few of the key pieces of information that are missing.
