Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California
hello I am renting a house in Long Beach ,Ca. and the landlords have decided to sell the house. They only gave us 90 days notice of their decision to do this and will not renew our lease at the end of this month because that. I has been 60 days already since we received their notice and I still have not been able to find a suitable new place to live for me and my family. The owners said they will not allow us to go month to month if we have not found anything by the time our lease is up on September 30th 2013. What can we do to avoid being homeless at the end of our lease if we have not found a new place. Please help me

I'm afraid there is nothing legally you can do. It sounds like your landlord has dotted their I's and crossed their T's to perfectly legally end your tenancy. If you hold over possession after your lease ends you will be guilty if unlawful detainer and subject to eviction proceedings.
As Mr McCormick has stated the Landlord has done what was required. I suggest you work hard at finding a new place and getting out. If you hold out and they serve you with an unlawful detainer, you will be be facing legal fess and courts costs that will make it harder for you to get another place.
