Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California
I am currently renting a room from a woman who doesnt live at the home, we originally agreed upon utilities being included in our rent but now she is trying to reduce our rent and make us pay portions of each utility bill. Our lease is not up and I do not want to do this change. What options do I have if she decided to terminate the lease or can she even do that?

A lease is a mutually binding contract as to all parties. Neither side can change before the lease ends the terms without the agreement of the other side. She can not legally force you to change the terms.
