roommate law

In CA, how many days must I give notice of moving out, to a roommate? He would stay here and there is no lease? Thank you.

Re: roommate law

If there is nothing written, the question is not how long, but who has that power.

Does he sublet and pay you the rent, or does he deal direct with landlord?

Based on your answer, that person has to give 30 day notice.

Even though no written lease, you still have a lease (oral).

Please feel free to e-mail my office if you need more help with this.

You are welcome. Good luck!
