Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California
Roommate Rights?
For the past six years I've lived with my (now ex) girlfriend and our son in a house that has her name on the lease. She has stated that I have two weeks to find a new place to live, but I was under the impression the law stated I have at least a month? Is it really two weeks or is it a month?

I agree with Mr. Moerbeek, that you have either 3 days or a 60 day notice followed by actual eviction.
Re: Roommate Rights?
Unless you have an agreement that specifies a shorter period of time for your termination notice, as is often the case for people renting a room, your six year residence would require her to use a 60 day notice to terminate your tenancy. However, you didn't mention if you are paying rent or not to her or her landlord. If you are and are not current on that rental obligation, she/the landlord could serve you with a 3 Day Pay or Quit Notice which could allow her/the landlord to proceed faster to evict you if you don't pay what is due within three days.
