Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

In San Diego County, my landlord has given me 30 days notice to vacate the premises to enable renovation of the premises. Is my landlord supposed to give me 60 days notice to vacate the premises instead of 30 days? Is my landlord required to pay my moving expenses for the eviction?

It depends on what kind of tenancy you have: i.e. fixed, month to month, and it depends on the length of time you have resided in the property. Relocation fees are only required under the Ellis Act when property is removed from the rental market in an area governed by rent control. You mention the county, but not any specific location that may or may not be covered by rent control.
