Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

My San Jose, CA rental property is being repaired due to rain damage. A professional contractor and abatement company and air quality control firm, all authorized by my insurance is making the necessary repairs. There was no mold, nor asbestos danger, however standard procedures were used to extract the dry wall (closed off areas). The air quality firm confirmed no contamination in the house. What is my legal responsibility as to providing a motel room, etc for my tenant or crediting them their daily rent, or other amount while the work was being performed. Does the tenant still pay me the rent, minus any credits, etc.

First consult your lease. If it does not cover it, then the tenant is entitled to not pay rent for the days they are out of the property. That's the extent of your obligation.
