Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

I had a scheduled on June 1, 2015 Sheriff to come out & lockout but I had moved out day before, well apparently locks have not been changed & nobody has been to the property nor entered the property. Since I am not locked at what are my rights as far as the eviction & does this put myn eviction in a different situation. Since the landlord was not given possesion back nor locked me out. Please advice.

If you surrendered possession to your landlord, then you have no further right to occupy the premises. If not, send the landlord a letter with the keys or email a copy of the keys. Do not try to enter the property. You would be considered a trespasser.
