Re: security deposit

Security deposits are for:

(1) unpaid rent;

(2) damage to premises by you, or your guests;

(3) cleaning, but only if you leave it dirtier than when you moved in.

Landlord must charge the prevailing cleaning rate in area, such as $12 an hour.
