Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

serving a summons

I have started eviction proceedings and I'm having the sheriff's department deliver a summons to the tenants. I discovered a spelling error in the address where the summons is being served. I'm wondering if that will keep the sheriff's department from delivering the summons?

Call the sheriff's office it's critical and see if they'll correct it.
