Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California
If I co sign a rental lease for my son and his roommate also signs the lease am I responsible for the entire rent if roommate doesn't pay? What if the roommate also has a co signer? Am i then only responsible for my son's share? This apt. in in LA

Co-signers and tenants are all jointly and severally liable for the full amount of the rent, meaning the landlord has the right to collect 100% of the rent from any one of them. It's between the tenants and the co-signers to sort out the payments between them.
