Re: start eviction process
(1) You first need to serve a three day notice; an attorney should charge you about $100 to do this, which includes preparing the proper notice, assuring it conforms to law and having a process server deliver the notice to the tenant or post it on the door.
(2) Then the court filing fee has increased to $195.00;
(3) Attorney should charge $100 to $150 to prepare the complaint and another $50 or so to properly serve it; if tenant answers then a trial date is set. It tenant does not answer the complaint, he is defaulted. Once defaulted, the tenant can be evicted.
(4) writ costs $15.00; sheriff costs $125.00 to evict and attorneys charge about $100 to $150 to prepare the paperwork. All in all it will cost you about $500 to $700 to evict the tenant, which includes court costs. Good luck.
Re: start eviction process
Our cost for an uncontested eviction is $125.00 attorney fee plus costs, which = $650.00. If the tenant files an answer an additional $200 is charged for an attorney to conduct the trial. These fees do not include service of notice to vacate or pay rent or quit.
My firm has performed thousands of evictions throughout southern California.
Re: start eviction process
I have extensive experience in the area of evictions, have represented many landlords and have appeared in Long Beach for evictions many times. Please feel free to contact me to start the process of eviction.
Re: start eviction process
You first would have to serve the tenant with a three-day notice to pay or quit. If the tenant doesn't pay during that period, you have to bring an unlawful detainer lawsuit. Please send me a private e-mail and I'll send you info. Thanks.
