My stepfather abbandoned my mom, she doesn't have enogh money to pay the rent and would like to use the deposit money as a last month payment. The landlord said she can't give the money to her only her husband because he sing the contract. He's nowhere to be found, what can she do?
I was in the original lease but not in the last lease, can I ask for the money?

You are going to have to retain an attorney to review the lease agreements. It is impossible to speculate what you or your mother's rights are with respect to the security deposit without reviewing the original, interim and last lease agreements.
