Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

I subleased my 2nd bedroom and now she is suing me....

I gave her a two month notice (her last day is March 31st)...but I just got served...she is sueing me. Does she still have to move by the notice date or can she legally stay in my apartment? (I'm the main lease holder...her name is not on the mail lease)...we had a small informal sublease agreement between ourselves only.

Is this other than a small claims matter? If not then you must answer, demurr or move to strike or lose by default. I need to review the notice and lease agreement to give further advise. Contact me directly.
