Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

I would like to sue my former Landlord in Small Claims for my security deposit most of which was unreasonably withheld.. they a paid me $475 out of $1850.

I now live in Contra Costa County, the apartment in question is in Los Angeles County and the Landlord personally lives in Beverly Hills- her managing company is in Los Angeles.

Do I sue the Landlord personally (in Beverly Hills), or do I sue her management company? and can I sue from here in my own County or where the building is or the Landlord lives?

You should name both the management company and owner; the suit will need to be brought in the county in which the property is located, or where the landlord and/or management company reside.
