Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California
I am being sued for unlawful detainer, and now I receive in the mail a request for entry of default from the landords attorney. As well as there was notice in the front of the of the place that it is going to forclosure. There is a court date of Nov 3, 2009

Why were you being sued for unlawful detainer? Was it just for non payment or something else These are questions that need to be answered to fully evaluate your case. Anyhow you had 10 days to answer or respond to the complaint. If you did not then the landlord's attorney probably took your default or if you did then they took the default of any unnamed tenants if any. This is a technical thing about the unnamed tenants.
Don't know what the court date is on the 3rd so I would find out quickly. It may be a trial!
You need to get an attorney to help you if you are not too late . If you don't have money then you should try the local bar association as they generally have a legal aid program or know of one in your area.
