Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California
Our tenant broke her one year lease after 4 months. She notified us in writing that she was leaving and why. We told her we would release her from her lease after a qualified renter was found. We have found a new renter but they will not move in until March 19th. Do we have the right to keep part of her last month's rent until the new renters are in and paying rent?
