Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

My tenant claims she moved out on July 25th. However she did not finish repaIRS AND DID NOT TAKE ALL HER BELONGINGS OUT for another week. Also she would not surrender keys until Aug.3. I consider Aug. 3rd her move out date. Am I correct?

If she did not surrender keys or unequivocally gave up possession to you, then you are correct. I would think that you have a witness to her possessions being in the property through August 3rd, in case she disputes the deductions from the security deposit.
