Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

My tenant is using CRLA to file a suit against me. If I'm reading their website correctly, this is only available to individuals who qualify for low-income. On the rental application, my tenant claimed to make well over the low-income standard. Is he breaking any law by taking advantage of the system set up for truly low-income individuals?

If he is, that is CRLA's issue with him, not yours. You are free to submit the rental application to CRLA and let them know they are being duped. What they do about it is up to them.
