Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

Tenant Rights

If a tenant has notified the landlord periodically for a year or more about needed repairs to the premises without suitible response. New landlord finds water damage, does this landlord have the right to evict without providing another open apartment? Also, is the tenant obligated to continue paying rent prior to the eviction? Note: rents paid on time, lived in the same complex for 10 years.

Re: Tenant Rights

If you are on a month to month, they can terminate the tenancy with 60 days notice for any reason.

If you have requested repairs (especially in writing), you may be entitled to a reduced rent. You may have waited too lont, though.
