Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California
our tenants moved out without giving us a forwarding address in Ca. There are damages and repairs and items left behind on the property. How can we take them to court and where would we send the letter to them at since we dont have a forwarding address on file.? Thanks

There’s not really anything you can do unless you track them down. You can dispose of obvious junk and put anything of value in storage, and then dispose of it if it goes unclaimed. If they claim it they have to pay the cost of storage. As far as taking them to court for the damage, you may have to hire a private investigator to locate them.
