Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California
Tenants right to purchase property put up for sale.
Our landlord had told us verbally we would have first right to purchase property if she sold it but now she is selling and has given us notice to leave without offering to sell to us. Can she do that? Realtors have told us that she needs to offer to us first. If she is required to offer to us and doesn't, is this worth a case against her?

Agreements regarding the sale or option to purchase real estate must be in writing.
