Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in California

Tennants rights

When my husband rented the apartment we are in now he picked for the view of the couryard and the pool. Now the landlords have decided to put a 6 foot high fence enclosing our patio. The view will be that of a jail cell. I know it is their property but do we have any rights in this matter? They are taking away our enjoyment of living here.

Re: Tennants rights

It is perfectly legal, unless, by some miracle, a provision of your lease prohibits landlord from building fence. That would be extremely unlikely.
